Christmas events in the Costa del Sol

The Christmas spirit already travels to all the places of the Costa del Sol and does it more as the end of the working day's approaches and the holidays begin to approach. All the municipalities of Malaga have been preparing events, concerts, decorations… all year round ... so that their citizens spend this time of the year with their family and friends in the most entertaining way.

The Municipality of Fuengirola has proposed to take this Christmas spirit to all places of the municipality. More than 70 streets, 15 squares, 10 parks, and emblematic buildings are already illuminated, totaling more than two million points of light. The constant innovation that the city is committed to having been transmitted to the public using low-energy LED technology. At the end of November, the mayor, Ana Mula, inaugurated the festivities with a great light show that took place in the Plaza de España and with the inauguration of the Bethlehem located in the Reyes Catolicos square. Throughout the month of December and until January 6, the town hall has prepared more than 60 activities for all audiences.

In Marbella, his Councilor for Fiestas, Félix Romero has declared that all acts designed by the city council have been done with the aim of “preserving and maintaining traditions and providing families, especially the smallest of the house, activities, parties, and events to guarantee your fun and entertainment on these Christmas dates. ” Among the more than 150 activities organized by the city council, we highlight 20 animation shows and Christmas workshops, 18 children's parties, 10 parades, and three live concerts. The spectacular lighting of the municipality began on November 30.

Last but not least on December 5, the Christmas festivities began in our municipality, Mijas. The great commitment of the town hall has been made in La Cala de Mijas where a tunnel of lights of 136 meters in length with 17 columns and a height of 7 meters has been installed that will be a claim for neighbors and tourists during these holidays. This town hall also bets on LED bulbs and thus reduce consumption and public spending. Two cones over 6 meters high also stand out in the Andalucía and María Zambrano parks of Las Lagunas and the traditional Christmas decorations by Mijas Pueblo.
