Do you know the network of self-guided walking trails in Mijas?

The Sierra de Mijas represents one of the green lungs of the Costa del Sol most appreciated by its inhabitants and visitors.

Knowing this, the City Council is studying expanding its network of self-guided walking trails through the mountains in Osunillas. This measure is preparing for the return of tourists to the municipality after the pandemic and vindicates the commitment to natural tourism, combining sport and nature and open and safe spaces. 

 

The Mijas City Council knows perfectly the botanical wealth and fauna interest, the peculiarities thanks to the Mediterranean nature that allows hikers to enjoy its unique corners and landscapes.


The Network of Self-guided Walking Trails allows you to get to know the municipality by walking and enjoying its nature. As you can see on the map, several of them are linked to be able to enjoy several in the same day. What is recommended by the city council and local authorities is to investigate in advance the route you want to take according to the physical capacities and the state of the group.

In this map you can see by colors the different trails that can be done within the municipality, some recommendations and a scale of the difficulty of the route and its duration.
